Why?

The purpose of the HIP is to provide prospective purchasers with better information when a property is placed on the market and thus speed up the home buying and selling process.

What are they?

A Home Information Pack (HIP) comprises a collection of documents which, in the past, would have been collated by a Solicitor as part of the conveyancing process.

A Property Information Questionnaire is included in the HIP and must be completed by the owner of the property.

An Energy Performance Certificate also forms part of the HIP. This shows a rating graph indicating how energy efficient the property is.

How much?
